Job Overview
A skilled bioinformatician is required to join the MRC University Unit for Human Genetics team to analyze omics datasets including single cell, spatial transcriptomic and proteomic data as part of liver disease and cancer projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide approachable and enthusiastic support in bioinformatics analysis, particularly single cell and spatial methodologies.
* Maintain high-quality records, analyses and outputs.
* Keep up to date with latest methodologies and pipelines, applying them to in-house datasets and published data.
* Engage with wide-ranging biological questions in liver disease and cancer.
* Provide training to other members of the research group.
Qualifications
* Experience analyzing omics datasets, including single cell, spatial transcriptomic and proteomic data.
* Strong knowledge of bioinformatics pipelines and data analysis.
* Ability to work independently and within a predominantly wet-lab team.
* Good communication and training skills.
Salary & Contract
Fixed-term contract for 24 months; full-time (35 hours/week). Salary range: £34,610 to £39,906 per annum, depending on experience. Hybrid working arrangements available on a non-contractual basis.
