About the Role: As a Child Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the personal and academic development of children who need extra guidance. You will work closely with students to build their confidence, enhance their skills, and provide the encouragement they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring sessions
* Develop and implement personalized support plans tailored to each child's needs
* Assist students with their academic work and help develop effective study habits
* Foster a positive and nurturing environment to support emotional and social development
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor progress and set goals
Requirements:
* Experience working with children in a mentoring or educational capacity
* A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with children
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undergo necessary training
* A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
