The Role
As Sales Engineer, you will take ownership of a defined region, selling and promoting a comprehensive portfolio of process instrumentation, calibration, and inspection solutions.
You’ll be responsible for developing existing accounts, winning new business, and supporting larger project opportunities – working closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct on-site visits with existing and prospective customers
* Build and grow long-term customer relationships within process industries
* Maximise sales across products and services within the region
* Identify and develop new sales channels and opportunities
* Take a lead role in major customer agreements and larger project bids
* Manage sales pipelines, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
* Support tenders and bids for complex, high-value projects
* Maintain accurate CRM records of all customer interactions
* Provide market and competitor insight to support marketing strategy
* Work collaboratively with internal sales and marketing teams
Background & Experience Sought
* Engineering background with exposure to electrical engineering
* Experience selling into process industries, automation, or control instrumentation
* Understanding of process instrumentation and calibration within production environments
* Confident working with engineers, buyers, and senior stakeholders
* Strong consultative and solution-based sales approach
* Full UK driving licence (field-based role)
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of Endress+Hauser, Eurotherm, or similar automation products
* Experience selling calibration or inspection services, including DSEAR
* NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Installations) or equivalent
