An exciting opportunity for a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join a growing specialty chemicals business with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.
The Role
* Design, synthesise and characterise novel organic compounds to support new product development.
* Apply synthetic organic chemistry and organic synthesis skills to lab, pilot, and full-scale trials.
* Analyse and interpret data, presenting findings to project teams.
* Drive process improvements, cost reduction, and innovation across product lines.
* Ensure safe and compliant lab practices.
About You
* Degree/MSc in Chemistry (focus on Synthetic Organic Chemistry).
* 2+ years’ R&D or chemical manufacturing experience.
* Proven skills in organic synthesis and associated analytical techniques.
* Strong problem-solving, communication and project management abilities.
* Self-starter with drive to innovate.
* Understanding of PRINCE2
* Driving licence and own car desirable due to location
