TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded engineering manufacturer to recruit a Store Person to join their growing team. The Role As a Store Person, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the stores function, managing material flow and ensuring production teams have the right components at the right time. This position requires someone with an engineering background or strong understanding of engineering components, as you will be responsible for handling, identifying, and managing a wide range of technical parts and materials. You will work closely with Production and Purchasing teams to coordinate goods inwards, stock control, and dispatch activities, helping to maintain efficiency across the operation. Key Responsibilities Manage goods inwards, including inspection of engineering components for quality, quantity, and conformity Complete GRNs and ensure accurate documentation and system updates Maintain stock levels of consumables and engineering materials, raising orders where required Coordinate materials for production, ensuring all jobs are fully supported Organise dispatch of materials to subcontractors and manage delivery schedules Produce delivery and dispatch documentation, ensuring full traceability Load and unload deliveries as required Maintain accurate inventory records, including off-site stock Support transport coordination, including internal and external logistics Ensure stores areas are well organised, clean, and compliant with company standards Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materialsAbout You Essential: Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or materials control role within an engineering or manufacturing environment Essential: Good understanding of engineering components, materials, and technical part Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately check dimensions, quantities, and specifications Good IT skills, including experience with systems and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) Understanding of stock control, goods in/out, and inventory processes Forklift Truck (FLT) licence and/or crane experience would be advantageous Knowledge of health & safety practices within an industrial environment A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong communication skillsWhat’s on Offer Opportunity to join a stable and growing engineering business Supportive team environment Varied and hands-on role within a busy manufacturing setting If you’re interested in this opportunity, please apply now or contact TXM Recruit for more information
