Responsibilities
We aim to develop a more comprehensive role that will ensure real-time validation, excellent understanding of data handling for reports / business cases/ slides etc, and provision of data for daily performance across all units within the Urgent Care services including AMU, SDEC and Emergency Paediatrics. The primary responsibilities of the new position will include:
* Analysing and presenting data for all urgent care services, including SDEC and the Emergency Paediatric team, will identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings in urgent care.
* Planning and coordinating business meetings, preparing and distributing necessary data and documentation beforehand.
* Overseeing and supporting non-paid finance including raising invoices within the admin budget and coordinating financial matters with the Service Manager and Operational Manager.
* Managing the RADAR system and overseeing the risk register, complaints, and incidents.
This new position will closely collaborate with the existing Band 6 Admin Manager, sharing responsibilities and providing cover for each other when necessary. They will also jointly manage the POD 13 staff members and oversee the larger administrative team.

The department has 1 WTE Business Support Administrators who will oversee all administrative functions within Urgent, Emergency and Acute Care footprint, offering senior-level support and expert guidance to the entire team. There will be two Business Support Administrator roles and whilst each individual will take the lead in delivering specific areas the post-holders will share most responsibilities and over time be expected to be cross cover all key elements of the role if one post-holder is on leave. One Business Support Administrator will lead on supporting the Administration Manager in overseeing Pod 13 and the Locum doctor rota, whilst the second role will lead on managing RADAR system for the CBU and reporting and analysing performance data. These roles are responsible for managing administrative processes to ensure high-quality, effective, and patient-centred care while achieving all performance targets. They will provide regular updates on these targets and collaborate closely with the wider management team, including nursing and clinical leads. Additionally, they will escalate any issues that may disrupt the patient experience to the Operational and Service Manager. Occasionally, the post holder may represent the Service Manager in their absence. Furthermore, they will lead all operational and strategic initiatives to ensure that administrative services effectively support Urgent Care in delivering outstanding patient care.

CUH provides more than 100 specialist services and is home to the borough's only Emergency Department and 24/7 maternity services, including a labour ward, midwifery-led birth centre and the Crocus home birthing team.
Purley War Memorial Hospital (PWMH) in the south of the borough offers outpatient care, including diagnostic services, physiotherapy and ophthalmology services run by Moorfields Eye Hospital, alongside an onsite GP surgery.
