Assistant Surveyor - Infrastructure Real Estate Team

Kent County Council (KCC) is seeking Assistant Surveyors to join our Infrastructure Real Estate team. As an Assistant Surveyor, you will support Surveyors on a range of portfolio projects, ensuring actions are taken to maximise value, minimise operational costs and liabilities, and promote efficient asset use.

Vacancies are available across our Estates and Disposals & Investment teams in Kent, an area known for its beautiful countryside, coastal destinations, historic towns, and villages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of proactive property advice to KCC and its partners.
* Maximise asset value, reduce operational costs and liabilities, and ensure efficient asset management.
* Implement policies for effective land and property portfolio management.
* Deliver property estate projects aligned with KCC's strategic objectives, including 'Framing Kent's Future'.
* Research, advise, and support specific projects on various property issues.
* Ensure value for money by managing external property consultancy services.
Candidate Requirements:
* A Level 3 qualification or equivalent, or relevant professional qualification.
* Experience in a similar environment managing occupied and unoccupied properties.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
* Problem-solving skills with lateral thinking.
* Knowledge of property portfolio management.
