We are seeking a Site Delivery Account Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of new homes across North Yorkshire.
Our Team
North Yorkshire Council’s Planning Services play a vital role in shaping the future of our communities. We manage the natural and built environment to ensure development meets the needs of residents and businesses, making North Yorkshire an even better place to live and work.
Within Planning Services, the Delivery and Infrastructure Team focuses on unlocking and delivering strategic and local plan development sites across the county. We work closely with funding partners and infrastructure providers to secure investment and ensure new development supports our place-shaping ambitions.
The Role
As Site Delivery Account Manager, you will be at the forefront of accelerating housing delivery across North Yorkshire. Your mission is to remove barriers to development, identify opportunities for Council intervention, and build strong relationships with developers and stakeholders.
You’ll lead on creative solutions and new initiatives to unlock sites, prepare and manage funding bids, and oversee projects through to successful completion. This is a dynamic role requiring collaboration across internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of new homes.
What You’ll Do
* Monitor progress on housing sites and maintain accurate records against housing trajectories.
* Engage with developers and site promoters to encourage timely delivery.
* Identify and implement interventions to unlock stalled sites.
* Prepare and coordinate funding bids and manage successful projects.
* Contribute to the Site Delivery Action Plan and housing strategies.
* Work closely with colleagues in Housing & Property to explore direct delivery opportunities.
* Represent the Council at external meetings and provide regular briefings to senior officers and Members.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
* Experienced in programme management, multi-disciplinary projects, and negotiating with diverse stakeholders.
* Skilled in building strong relationships across public and private sectors.
* Financially and commercially aware, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledgeable about planning, housing, infrastructure legislation, and funding mechanisms.
