We are looking to recruit a new salaried GP for 4 sessions per week covering Tuesday and Fridays. The practice has alist size of just over 6400 patients. The practice team consists of skilled,multi-disciplinary staff with 3 GP Partners, 3 Practice Nurses and 3 GP Assistants. In addition we have a Practice Manager and aReception/Administrative team who provide excellent support to the clinicians.
We are part of the Barrow Together PCN, made up of 7 local GP Practices and through this we also have a specialist home visitingteam, clinical pharmacists, social prescribers, care co-ordinators and mental health practitionerswho support our practice.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a salaried GP who can work with us toensure that we continue to progress, develop and work innovatively within ourdiverse community. The successful candidate will be working as an autonomouspractitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practicepopulation as a whole, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilstcomplying with the GMS contract. The post-holder will adhere to the GMCstandards of good medical practice, contributing to the effective management ofthe practice.

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will work collaboratively with other clinicians and practice staff to provide high quality general practice care to a varied patient base. They will be:
* Able to communicate politely and effectively with all staff
* Undertaking a variety of duties including on call clinics, surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion
* The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
* The provision of services commensurate with the GMS/PMS contract
* Effective management of long-term conditions
* Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
* Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
* Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
* Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
* Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
* Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
