We currently have a full-time Service Manager opportunity at our recently modernised Unity Cheltenham Main Dealership, part of the Unity Automotive Group, working with Jeep, Fiat, Abarth, Fiat Professional and Alfa Romeo.
As a new dealership within the group, this role offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to shape the future of the service department — building their own team, developing processes, and establishing a high-performing operation from the start.
The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with the ability to manage the day-to-day running of the service department while inspiring and motivating a new team. They will deliver an exceptional customer experience in a consistently professional manner, build strong relationships with customers, and identify opportunities to grow the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on taking ownership, driving standards, and making a real impact within a growing group.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attributes Required
· Sell the benefits of and build value for the franchised dealer servicing.
· Control the workshop bookings to allow the correct number of hours to be booked per day
. Review sales figures, costs and stock on a monthly basis to ensure budget benchmarks are met
. Increase profitability from the sales of parts and accessories from retail and trade channels
· To be compliant with manufactures including their training programmes.
. To have a clear understanding of the warranty processes.
· Keep WIP down to a minimum making sure all work is invoiced.
. Work closely with the Vehicle Sales Team to increase standards and profitability
. Ensure Vehicle Health Checks are carried out
· Reply to incoming customer requests
· To print, check and send service and MOT reminders where applicable.
· Collate name, address, telephone number and e-mail of every service enquiry for future marketing.
· All stock vehicles to be checked for MOT and outstanding recalls.
. To demonstrate a calm and organised approach to tackling problems and workload.
