Randstad Care is seeking dedicated Support Workers for Walsingham Support. This isn't just a shift-filling role; we are looking for the backbone of our residents' daily lives-individuals who provide stability, safety, and dignity to adults with complex needs.
About the Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support adults with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, and Sensory Impairments. Your work bridges the gap between a resident's limitations and their aspirations.
What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:
Complex Care Delivery: Providing essential nursing and personal care, ensuring health needs are monitored with the highest clinical and safety standards.
Empowering Independence: Helping residents navigate daily routines, from meal preparation and medication management to engaging in social activities.
Behavioral Support: Utilizing your PMVA/Restraint training to maintain a calm, structured environment and de-escalating challenging situations with professional composure.
Sensory & Emotional Support: Tailoring your communication to meet unique needs, ensuring every resident feels heard, seen, and valued.
Shift Patterns:
Days: 08:00 - 20:00
Waking Nights: 20:00 - 08:00
Candidates must have full-time availability and be happy to match the client's rota needs.
Eligibility & Essential Requirements
To ensure the safety and consistency of care for our residents, you must meet all the following criteria:
Experience: Minimum 6 months of UK experience in residential home services.
Documentation: Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (on the Update Service), plus valid Mandatory Training and PMVA/Restraint certificates.
Work Rights: Unrestricted right to work in the UK. (No sponsorship available).
Visa Restrictions: Due to the required 36.5 hours (3 shifts) per week, we cannot accept Skilled Worker or Student visas.
Driving: A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred to reach various client sites.
Location: Ideally based in or around West Cumbria, Whitehaven, Maryport, or Egremont.
