Job Overview
The role holder will undertake a range of planned and reactive building maintenance activities in a safe, timely and efficient manner, to ensure all facilities are fit for purpose and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties
* To comply with all Group Lotus H & S compliance requirements, including completion of Dynamic Risk assessments.
* To ensure equipment, tools and materials are being used and maintained correctly, and are stored in the proper place
* To assist with office moves and movement of other items around site.
* To undertake statutory and role specific training as required by the business.
* Other activities as directed by facilities management staff.
* To carry out pro-active and reactive routine building maintenance tasks as indicated but not limited to those listed below
* Minor and major decorating tasks
* Minor and major carpentry repairs
* Minor plumbing work
* Unblocking small drains and appliances
* Maintaining a clean and tidy site
* Cleaning plant rooms, substations etc
* Cleaning and keeping workshops tidy
* Cleaning roof gulleys and drains
* Repairing broken paving slabs
* Replacing broken or missing ceiling tiles
* Pothole repairs
* Flooring repairs
* Fencing repairs
* Window and door repairs
* Cleaning and weekly checks on Maintenance vehicles
* Assisting Maintenance and general facilities staff as required (in particular on 2 person jobs)
* Making collections from suppliers
* Clean light fittings and extract grilles
* Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness
* Developing practical skills as required
Skills
* Wide range of basic trade related skills - painting and decorating, use of hand tools, minor plumbing and carpentry jobs e.g. changing siphons, fitting shelves, hanging noticeboards, manual handling;
* Basic IT skills.
* Good general knowledge of Health & Safety at Work.
* Able to create and keep detailed records.
* Previous use of Smart phone based mobile working applications.
* Awareness of fire and water quality compliance regulations.
Education, qualification's and Experience
* General secondary education with good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have a full UK driving licence. (Where an applicant has declared that they have a disability that prevents them from driving, adjustments will be considered).
* Construction trade-based qualification.
* Previous experience of working in a facilities or maintenance environment.

* Willing to undertake training to deliver a quality service
Special Circumstances
* Must be physically fit and able to access all parts of site, including confined/restricted spaces and working at height.
* A flexible approach to work as an element of shift work at unsocial hours may be required from time to time, including evenings and weekends.
