To be successful in your application for our Bar and Restaurant Manager role you must possess the following:
3 Years previous experience as a Manager, Head Bar or similar role supervising a small or large team.
BAR / RESTAURANT MANAGER, JOB DESCRIPTION The Bar/ Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the day to day bar / Restaurant operation at The Elms hotel in a professional manner, while continually exceeding guest expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ·Ongoing Responsibility for all areas of the bar & beverage operations ·
Ensure all customers are provided with outstanding service ·Ensure bar / Restaurant operations are opened and closed according to policy ·
Responsible for ordering supplies, inventory control and establishing relationships with suppliers, ensuring the business receives competitive terms ·
Responsible for hygiene and health and safety issues in line with EHO and Health and Safety Policy ·
Ensure all areas are organised and high levels of cleanliness maintained ·Provide leadership, guidance and supervision to all team members ·
Ensure proper cash management controls are followed by all staff members ·Ensure that quality and presentation of all products is maintained ·
Ensure the bar/Restaurant operations are properly staffed with trained competent individuals ·Adhere to current licensing regulations ·
Adhere to all government guidelines for proper and safe food and beverage service ·
Ensure waste is minimized and properly recorded ·Participate in planning and organizing events and special requirements as required ·
Assist with report generation ·Other duties as assigned by the owner/director ·Respond to and deal with customer complaints ·
Work as a member of the team alongside the assistant food and beverage manager ·
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays ·Intermediate computer skills ·Team player ·
High level of personal presentation ·Experience of cocktails would be desirable but not essential
