Role: Integrated Therapy Assistant

Full time: 40 hours per week
Salary: £25,560 per annum
The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as an Integrated Therapy Assistant based at Pengwern College.
Cambian Pengwern College is an independent provider of specialist further education in North Wales, offering day, and up to 52-week residential placements for young people aged 16 to 25 with a learning disability and complex needs.
Job Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and interested individual to work as part of the Occupational Therapy (OT) team and Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) team at Pengwern College. This post will combine clinical and administrative support roles: you will work directly with individual Young People or with groups to deliver therapy programmes, under the direction of the senior OT or SaLT in the Educational and residential settings, and support the OT or SaLT in the assessment of young people's communication needs, functional skills, and report on individuals progress, provide support with resources for individuals and contribute to the development of the Communication and Sensory Environment. You will receive regular supervision and, as part of the Cambian Clinical Service, be eligible for training.

* Support the OT or SaLT in the assessment of young people's communication needs and functional skills.
* Report on individuals' progress and provide support with resources for individuals.
* Contribute to the development of the Communication and Sensory Environment.
* Receive regular supervision and be eligible for training as part of the Cambian Clinical Service.
Candidate Profile
It is essential that the successful candidate has an interest in developing young people's communication and functional skills, meeting communication and sensory needs, and has worked with young people previously, preferably with young people with special needs. Basic IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a busy team are essential for all aspects of this post.

* A successful candidate will have to meet the person specification to be offered the post.
* Experience working with ASD and/or LD and/or CAMHS is desirable.
