We are currently recruiting an aspiring educator on behalf of a wonderful, one:form entry primary school in Lytham. More than just a standard job, this 18:month apprenticeship is a structured launchpad to becoming a fully qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant within a close:knit, values:driven school family.

Fully Funded Level 3 Qualification: Earn your nationally recognised TA qualification while receiving a steady wage. Secured School Contract: You will be employed directly by the school from day one, rather than working through an agency. Guaranteed Training Time: Your weekly schedule includes two full afternoons set aside purely for your college coursework and portfolio. Targeted Early Years Expertise: While qualified to support ages 4:11 upon completion, this specific role offers rare, specialist experience managing the jump from EYFS into Key Stage 1.
Daily Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
Working side:by:side with experienced class teachers, you will split your focus across a unique crossover role between the Early Years and Year 1 environments:
Bridging the Curriculum: Provide crucial support to Year 1 pupils who are continuing to work within the EYFS framework, helping them adapt smoothly to the new academic year. Early Years Delivery: Assist in setting up and facilitating engaging, play:based learning environments. Small Group Interventions: Run tailored, supportive activities for small groups of children to boost confidence and close learning gaps. Learning Environments: Assist in crafting interactive, vibrant classroom displays that connect early years learning themes to Year 1. Pastoral and Spiritual Support: Help foster the social, emotional, and holistic well:being of the children in line with the schools ethos.
Essential Criteria:
GCSE Prerequisites: Minimum Grade 4/C or equivalent in both GCSE English and Mathematics ( Strictly Essential ). Core Values: High levels of patience, empathy, energy, and an adaptable approach to young childrens needs. Interpersonal Skills: Confident communicating clearly and warmly with young children, teaching colleagues, and families. Timeline: Full commitment to an 18:month training pathway starting this September 2026.
