The Role As a Party Wall Surveyor, you will provide expert advice under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, and guide clients through a range of neighbourly and boundary matters. You will: ✅ Party Wall Responsibilities Review architectural and structural drawings to identify notifiable works. Draft and serve Party Wall Notices in accordance with the Act. Prepare, negotiate, and agree Party Wall Awards. Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed Schedules of Condition. ✅ Neighbourly & Boundary Matters Draft and negotiate access agreements (e.g., crane and scaffold licences). Research title documents, boundary lines, and rights of way. Provide technical advice on easements, access rights, and potential disputes. ✅ Technical & Project Oversight Maintain up-to-date records, trackers, and correspondence. Review construction methods and monitor site progress where relevant. Represent the firm at client meetings, site visits, and networking events to support growth. About You ✔ Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in Party Wall surveying, including Schedule of Condition reporting. ✔ Technical Skills In-depth knowledge of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Strong grasp of building methods, property law, and neighbourly matters. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); AutoCAD experience is an asset. ✔ Personal Attributes Clear and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. High level of attention to detail and critical thinking. Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively. ✔ Development-Oriented Keen to stay informed of legal and technical updates through CPD. Enthusiastic about supporting business development and mentoring junior team members. Location This is a hybrid role based in North London, co mbinin g home-based working with travel to project sites and occasional visits to our Londo n office.
