This is a senior leadership opportunity within the Customer Delivery Directorate (CDD) to shape the future of corporate transparency in the UK.
As a senior leader within CDD, you will balance strategic leadership with operational delivery, while responding to legislative, political, and societal shifts. You’ll be part of our wider senior leadership group, role-model our values, and work with Heads of Profession and Service teams to deliver meaningful change.

* Head of Identity Verification (IDV) Operational Delivery
* Head of Integrity
* Head of Compliance

Responsibilities and requirements

Role-specific duties (Head of Operations) – main duties consist of but are not limited to:
* Provide visible and inspirational leadership — setting clear expectations, empowering teams through change, and cultivating a high-performance culture aligned with our values and strategic goals.
* Oversee operational delivery — ensuring services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in line with policy, legislation and customer expectations.
* Monitor performance and enable learning — using data and insight to identify trends, address gaps, and drive continuous improvement across teams.
* Contribute to strategic planning — shaping operational strategy and aligning delivery with organisational and government priorities.
* Engage with stakeholders — building relationships across internal and external partners and acting as a point of contact for escalations and feedback.
* Manage risk proactively — identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies.

Security and eligibility – To be eligible for the Head of Compliance, Head of IDV Operational Delivery and Head of Integrity roles, you must meet the security requirements for Security Clearance (SC) level vetting. To gain SC level vetting you will need to have been a UK resident for a minimum of 3 years out of the last 5. Details are in the “Things you need to know” section. Companies House cannot offer visa sponsorship for this campaign.
The role is aligned to our Cardiff office with a hybrid working model. Attendance is weekly but may vary with business needs.

Salary and benefits
Salary range: £56,688 – £63,392. The appointment includes an excellent benefits package and Civil Service Pension Scheme with employer contributions. Salary offers follow central government pay policy. For current Civil Servants transferring, salary discussions follow internal policies. Benefits details are on the Companies House site.
