Construction Project Director – £100m Flagship Industrial Development
* Location: Rugby East Midlands / UK (on site)
* Main Contractor: Working on behalf of a Tier One Main Contractor
The Opportunity
A landmark build-to-suit logistics and distribution facility is underway in the Midlands, representing a £100m+ investment in next-generation warehousing. This high-profile scheme will set new benchmarks in scale, sustainability, and delivery, and we are seeking an accomplished Construction Project Director to take full responsibility for leading the programme from start to finish.
Role Overview
You will:
* Take overall leadership of a major industrial/warehouse project, valued at over £100 m
* Be accountable for programme, cost, quality, risk and health & safety performance
* Manage all aspects of design coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, and delivery
* Drive value engineering and ensure compliance with sustainability and environmental goals (BREEAM, EPC etc.)
* Maintain strong communication and collaboration across multiple senior stakeholders
* Report progress and key outcomes to board-level executives and client representatives
Candidate Profile
* Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior leadership roles delivering large-scale industrial, warehouse or logistics projects
* Proven ability to manage complex programmes with multiple workstreams and subcontractor packages
* Strong commercial focus, with expertise in cost control, risk management and value engineering
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Track record of delivering projects to the highest standards of safety and sustainability
* Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
