PQA, established by actress Pauline Quirke, is the next generation of weekend performing arts training for children aged 6-18 Our Neath Academy has 70 exceptional students and we are currently recruiting for a new academy assistant.
We have a very exciting year ahead of us at PQA Neath with several performance opportunities and creative classroom projects panned: alongside a production of Legally Blonde JR.

Our ideal assistant should have relevant experience within the performing arts and a positive can do attitude to learning and developing their skills. Whilst having experience as a classroom assistant is helpful, it is not essential- at PQA we aim to support and upskill our team members to be the best that they can be. We aim to build confidence in all our teaching assistants to take initiative in class, not only support but provide creative ideas and to step in as a cover teacher when required to meet the needs of the academy. Assistants at PQA Neath will have a varied academy experience supporting teachers and students across our three creative modules: Musical Theatre, Film and Television and Comedy and Drama.
When: Saturday from 9:45-1:00 (This time includes a 15 minute break) We run a minimum of 41 weekends of the year and we do require you to have good availability.
Pay: Current Academy Assistant rate is £37 per session.
Interviews will be held on Wednesday 17th September with successful candidates being invited to join us for a trial session at the academy on Saturday 27th September. Please try to keep these date free in your schedule where possible.
