Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant Location: Primary School, Handsworth Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:15am – 3:45pm We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at a Primary School in Handsworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils across all year groups. Work closely with children with SEND needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), to ensure they can access learning effectively. Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities. Support individual pupils and small groups with their learning. Help maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment. The Ideal Candidate: Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting. Possesses experience or understanding of working with children with SEND, including SEMH needs. Is reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children’s educational and personal development. Holds a valid DBS certificate (or is willing to complete a new enhanced criminal conviction check). Is able to commit to the hours of 8:15am – 3:45pm, Monday to Friday.
