Job Overview:
The Assistant Grid Connections Engineer will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of grid connection projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of grid connection projects for renewable energy installations.
* Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate grid connection options and requirements.
* Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
* Support the preparation of technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for grid connection applications.
* Assist in coordinating grid connection activities with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
* Conduct technical analyses and simulations to assess the impact of grid connection on system performance and reliability.
* Participate in on-site inspections, commissioning activities, and testing of grid-connected equipment and systems.
* Provide technical support and assistance to project managers, engineers, and other team members as needed.
* Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to grid connections.
* Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
* Previous experience or coursework in grid connection design, renewable energy, or power systems is preferred.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, PSS/E, and MATLAB, is desirable.
* Familiarity with grid codes, standards, and regulations governing grid connection projects.
