Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Training and Development to lead our training function. This pivotal role will design and deliver world-class training programs for our products and software, implement robust training processes, and engage directly with customers to sell and deliver tailored training solutions. You will also manage a team of two specialists who focus on product installation and usage training for plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and Deliver Training: Create engaging, effective courses on our products and software for internal teams and external customers.
* Training Strategy & Processes: Develop and implement a comprehensive training framework to support business growth and customer success.
* Customer Engagement: Meet with clients to understand their needs, promote training solutions, and deliver high-quality sessions that drive adoption and satisfaction.
* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor two direct reports responsible for hands-on product installation and operational training.
* Continuous Improvement: Monitor training effectiveness, gather feedback, and refine programs to ensure excellence and scalability.
* Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, and operations teams to align training initiatives with business objectives.
About You:
* Proven experience in training and development within a technical software or construction-related environment.
* Strong instructional design and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
* Commercial mindset with experience in selling training solutions to customers.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
* Knowledge of construction products, plant, and equipment is highly desirable.
