A leading engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join the delivery team on a major project in Central London.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading mechanical installation activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
As Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be a key leader on site, driving a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
You will support the Project Manager in coordinating mechanical works, managing site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring the successful delivery of building services installations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage mechanical installation works across the project
• Support the Project Manager in supervising site personnel and labour resources
• Ensure high standards of workmanship across all mechanical services
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams
• Maintain strong health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Manage plant, equipment, and materials on site
• Ensure systems are completed and ready for client handover
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation
• Support training and development of apprentices and junior engineers
• Drive a collaborative and high-performance site environment
• Identify potential delays and communicate early to maintain programme delivery
Requirements
• Mechanical Engineering or Building Services qualification
• Experience working as a Mechanical Construction Manager or Senior Mechanical Supervisor
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services installation
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental systems
• Experience delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
