Group Financial Controller (CFO Designate) Location: Falkirk HQ Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Full-time | On-site with flexibility A high-growth, multi-entity manufacturing group is seeking a commercially minded and technically strong Group Financial Controller to lead financial operations and support strategic transformation. This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Managing Director, with responsibility for financial control, reporting, systems integration, and funding support across two trading entities. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing the business for institutional investment and future exit. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly management accounts and group consolidation Produce board-level packs with rolling cashflow forecasts and KPI dashboards Oversee working capital, banking, and invoice finance processes Drive automation and integration across ERP platforms Support investor materials, valuations, and financial modelling Manage finance-related compliance and audit preparation Immediate Priorities Oversee financial ERP migration and systems integration Establish monthly close and group consolidation processes Build a live 12-month rolling forecast and covenant tracker Support the MD on capital structure and funding roadmap Ideal Candidate Profile Qualified accountant (CA / ACCA / CIMA) Experience in SME or mid-market engineering, construction, or manufacturing Strong systems knowledge including ERP implementation and migration experience Commercial mindset with ability to link operations to financial outcomes Exposure to fundraising, private equity, or M&A due diligence Ambitious and hands-on, ready to step into a CFO role within 12–18 months This is a rare opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of growth and transformation.
