Commercial Manager – Aggregates & Recycling Division
Cormac is seeking a dynamic and driven Commercial Manager to lead the commercial operations of our Aggregates, Asphalt & Recycling division. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, working closely with senior management and playing a key part in the strategic development and operational success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide commercial leadership across the Aggregates & Recycling division, supporting the Head of Division in achieving strategic goals.
2. Manage a small team of office-based staff, asphalt operatives, and HGV drivers, ensuring high standards of performance and service delivery.
3. Take ownership of both internal (Cormac) and external workstreams to meet and exceed business plan targets.
4. Identify and develop sustainable growth opportunities, including diversification and value-added services.
5. Collaborate effectively with regional teams and the wider Cormac group to align with overall company objectives.
6. Prioritise Health & Safety in all aspects of decision-making and operational planning.
7. Champion recycling best practices and carbon reduction initiatives, promoting environmentally sustainable solutions wherever possible.
8. Play a key role in identifying and developing new markets and products to drive growth and stakeholder value.
9. Monitor and report on divisional sales performance, preparing detailed and timely reports as required.
10. Provide accurate and auditable quotations for both internal and external customers.
11. Deliver monthly sales and financial forecasting reports.
12. Support the Head of Division with stock management, procurement, and logistics, including haulage arrangements.
13. Build and maintain strong supply chain relationships, conducting regular supplier performance evaluations.
14. Manage customer accounts to ensure strong, ongoing relationships, including maintaining and analysing customer feedback and complaints logs.
15. Carry out monthly debtors meetings and manage customer credit limits.
16. Drive improvements in customer satisfaction through proactive performance management.
What We’re Looking For

18. A relevant degree or equivalent commercial experience
19. Strong understanding of sales processes and invoicing systems
20. Experience working within a commercial quarry environment
21. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of supply chain management
22. Full UK Driving Licence
23. To demonstrate good product knowledge and experience (aggregates & asphalt)
