Role: Mechanical Build Technician

The team is small, fast‑moving, and highly collaborative, working across R&D, manufacturing of drop‑in EV kits, and bespoke conversions.

Role Overview

You will strip legacy drivetrains from classic vehicles and install EV systems, including HV batteries, motors, inverters, cooling, HVAC, and more. The role spans R&D, prototype work, and bespoke builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Build client vehicles through to handover

• Maintain accurate build records

• Collaborate with engineering on specifications and design

• Develop internal/external work instructions

• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement

• Identify operational improvements

• Comply with health & safety

• Perform additional duties as required

• Adhere to 5S principles

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ niche vehicle build/assembly experience

• Ability to read engineering drawings

• Excellent communication skills

• High attention to detail

• Self‑driven and proactive

Desirable

• Classic car repair experience

• Automotive HVAC knowledge

• MS Office proficiency

• Familiarity with Asana/Jira

• Metal fabrication skills

Role: Trainee / Junior Wiring Technician

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee / Junior Wiring Technician to join our growing engineering and production team. This role is ideal for someone with a practical mindset, strong attention to detail, and a passion for automotive electrification. You will support the build and installation of wiring looms, harnesses, and electrical systems across our EV conversion projects, working alongside experienced technicians and engineers.

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role with full training provided. It offers a clear development path into senior wiring, harness build, and vehicle integration positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly, routing, and installation of wiring looms and harnesses for EV conversion projects

• Support the preparation, crimping, soldering, and termination of electrical connectors

• Follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and build instructions with accuracy

• Carry out continuity checks, basic diagnostics, and quality inspections on electrical systems

• Maintain organised workspaces, tools, and component stock

• Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and fabrication teams to support vehicle builds

• Adhere to workshop safety procedures and quality standards

• Participate in ongoing training to develop technical skills and product knowledge

Skills & Experience (Essential)

• Practical interest in automotive, electrical, or mechanical engineering

• Basic understanding of electrical principles (voltage, current, polarity, etc.)

• Confident using hand tools and basic workshop equipment

• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work

• Ability to follow instructions, diagrams, and processes accurately

• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and proactive approach to problem-solving

Skills & Experience (Desirable)

• Experience with automotive wiring, electronics, or vehicle maintenance

• Familiarity with crimping, soldering, or harness assembly

• Understanding of CANbus or automotive electrical systems

• Level 2/3 qualification in automotive, electrical, or engineering discipline

• Previous workshop, garage, or hands-on technical experience
