Head of Finance – AI Datacentre Solutions

Our client is a highly ambitious UK deep-tech venture in rapid expansion mode. The company’s innovative technology offers both a leap in performance and superior power efficiency designed to accelerate Artificial Intelligence computing performance in datacentres.
We’re seeking a talented and dynamic finance executive with experience of supporting a vibrant, early-stage venture that is destined for stellar growth. Experience will ideally have been gained in a VC or PE-backed technology hardware or systems company with a strong growth trajectory.
To be considered for this role, you will be able demonstrate the following:
* Proven experience (5-10 years) in a financial leadership role, overseeing all budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and investor relations.
* Ability to oversee all legal matters, including vendor and contractor agreements, IP management, and compliance.
* Strong operational skills, with a hands-on approach when building and managing company-wide processes and systems (e.g. payroll, productivity tools, collaboration software).
* Familiarity with venture-backed startup funding, ideally post-Seed to Series B and beyond.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid growth with the ability to build structure and robust processes across finance and operations.
* Excellent project management and organisational skills, and able to context-switch across functions.
* Deep understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), and financial management.
* Ideally, experience applying for R&D tax credits and awareness of qualifying expenses for technology companies.
* ACCA or CIMA qualified.
