Senior Architectural Technician - Glasgow Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (Agile working) Salary: Competitive, with car allowance, private health care & bonus Are you a Senior Architectural Technician in the Glasgow area with experience in the housebuilding / residential development market? We are delighted to be working with one of the industry’s premier construction businesses, with a vibrant and professional technical department who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to their team. The Role: The role supports multiple new developments commencing over the next 12 months and is responsible for coordinating design information, securing approvals, and supporting project delivery from feasibility through to completion. Key Responsibilities: Design Coordination & Information Management Coordinate design information between external consultants and internal departments. Ensure all approvals are secured in a timely manner. Review and check the accuracy and suitability of design information. Prepare design information for tender packages and construction issue. Liaise with architects, engineers, planners, and statutory authorities. Project Delivery & Technical Support Support development projects from feasibility through to completion and handover. Attend development and coordination meetings with project teams. Provide technical support to live construction sites. Ensure compliance with planning, building regulations, warranties, and internal standards. Reporting & Documentation Produce timely technical progress reports. Monitor key design programme milestones. Support delivery of business targets in line with the 5-year plan. What We’re Looking For: Experience in a technical role within housebuilding or residential development. Strong understanding of new-build housing standards and technical compliance. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks. Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach. Experience supporting operational business units. Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and design coordination software. Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Office.
