This role as Chef Manager, is to lead and continually develop the food offer of our contract for a world renowned pharmaceutical company which is seeing fantastic growth.
Genuine Dining's Chef Manager must be a highly organised person with a love and passion for food and people. They will lead by example, energising and inspiring with a smooth-running kitchen, and timely dispatch of delicious and exciting food for the onsite café and occasional hospitality. Ever looking to improve the service through menu development and innovation. Working hand in hand with the Operations Manager to ensure our clients and customers expectations are exceeded. All applicants need to demonstrate valid experience of commercial acumen and delivering high gross profit margins.
Main responsibilities
· To apply the standards set out by those required by The Genuine Dining Co. and client
· To consistently deliver delicious, innovative and exciting food across the café offer and hospitality
· Driving the service and support to exceed our client's and our customers' expectations
· Work closely with the onsite team to implement creative and exciting menus
· To fully manage all operations in the Cafe kitchen and Hospitality
· Liaising with the relevant companies for food orders
· Manage the kitchen team, leading by example
· Providing training to the team to allow safe and efficient work
· Create constantly evolving, cost effective and exciting menus
· Maintaining/raising the food's profit margins
· Monitoring and controlling stock levels
· Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed
· Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen
· Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget
· Taking care of the kitchen's accounts and creating a work schedule
Skills, interests and qualities:
· Previous experience of at least two years' experience in a similar role
· Good knowledge and experience of working with a bespoke offer and brand
· Creative and innovative
· Great People Management and the ability to work customer facing
· Ability to hit the ground running
· Proven experience in training and coaching successful teams
· Branded retail / foodservice or similar background
· Ability to communicate effectively to fellow employees and clients
· Can demonstrate commercial awareness
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £37,000.00 per year
