Role: Architectural Technologist
Location:Billericay, Essex (4 days per week in the office)

WRG are supporting an independent building consultancy who are looking to appoint an experienced Architectural Technologist to their design team, based from our clients offices in Billericay, Essex.
The business focuses primarily on the education and healthcare sectors and have been appointed on several long term frameworks with various school and hospital trusts. Our client has been established for 5 years and have very ambitious plans for the future and the growth of the overall organisation.
They would like this person to lead on all aspects of design and architecture within the business and look to open a separate department to then grow and develop this new service.
There could also be the opportunity to be involved with the Building Regulations Principal Designer service deliver this service to clients as well (all relevant CPD and training would be provided).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage architectural designs for various projects from concept to completion.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Produce high-quality, detailed drawings, specifications, and reports.
Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance and oversight throughout the design and construction phases.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
Participate in client presentations, discussions, and project meetings.
Foster a creative, collaborative, and solutions-driven work environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Registered Architect (ARB).
RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) qualified or equivalent, with a strong understanding of UK building regulations.
Proven experience in architecture, including the design and delivery of medium to large-scale projects.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
A creative approach with an eye for detail, practical solutions, and a passion for design excellence.
Apply:
Salary in the region of £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience).
