About the role:
The role has recently developed and includes all of our new clinical offer to patients:
1. Alcohol assessment, developing treatment plans and supporting community detoxification.
2. Fibroscanning
3. Delivering Buvidal clinics (long acting Buprenorphine injections)
4. BBV testing, Vaccinations and support to access Hep C treatment
5. Wound Care clinics
Phlebotomy will be added to the role shortly.
This is a great opportunity to further develop clinical skills within a large and supportive clinical team. Our clinic buildings are all renovated, modern, positive places to work and we will be moving into community delivery shortly to give greater access to our offer in the more rural communities.
About you:
6. First level registered nurse with recent relevant post qualification experience and a current PIN
7. Relevant recent experience of working within drug and alcohol treatment (desirable but not essential)
8. Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions
9. Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports, as necessary.
10. Clinical auditing skills to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for development.
11. Employ a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards service users and all stakeholders.
12. An understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with service users, peers, and other relevant professionals
