Role type: Maternity cover.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times, including opening and closing the site as required by business hours.
* Work early mornings, late weekdays, and weekends as needed.
* Adhere to all policies and procedures in the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
* Maintain and uphold the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks; report and chase defects to ensure the facility and equipment are safe.
* Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets.
* Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
* Ensure the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness; coordinate with contracted cleaning hours as required.
* Ensure in-house cleaners maintain high standards.
* Maintain uniform standards across all team members and yourself.
* Deliver outstanding member service and foster a positive working environment for the team and contractors.
* Undertake other reasonable duties, projects, or meetings as required.
* Act as an ambassador of JD Gyms at all times.
Skills and Experience
* Experience, ideally in a management position within a leisure-related industry.
* Passionate about customer service and an inspirational leader in management.
* Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
* Experience in driving sales and co-ordinating local marketing activity, as well as leading a successful team.
* Experience as an Assistant Manager or Fitness Manager or similar operational role is desirable.
