We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Digital Marketing Apprentice to join our team and play a key role in shaping our marketing and communications. This is a unique role where you’ll gain hands-on experience while also receiving professional mentoring from a leading Edinburgh-based marketing company. Overview: You will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing social media channels, handling public relations, and delivering campaigns that raise awareness of River Kids’ mission and work. You will work closely with our team to ensure our brand messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with our organisational goals. Responsibilities: Create compelling content for digital platforms, newsletters, and press releases Manage and grow River Kids’ social media presence Oversee brand messaging and ensure consistency across all channels Support the development and delivery of marketing campaigns Monitor and report on digital marketing analytics Assist with public relations and community engagement activities Collaborate with colleagues to align marketing activity with wider organisational objectives Desirable skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills Strategic thinker with creativity and attention to detail Ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines Experience or interest in digital marketing, including social media and analytics Willingness to learn and develop within a supportive environment Confidence to contribute ideas and work independently as well as part of a team Salary: £14,414.40 per annum Working hours: Part time, 22 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, 8:30 - 4:30pm Benefits: Flexible working hours Company pension scheme Free onsite parking Ongoing professional mentoring and skills development Future prospects: Mentorship support: You will receive monthly sessions with a leading Edinburgh-based marketing company, who will guide you in delivering River Kids’ 12-month marketing strategy. This mentoring will be fully funded by River Kids Career growth: This role is initially for 12 months, with a view to becoming a long-term position based on the successful delivery of key projects Important information: This vocational apprenticeship comprehensively supports your specific job role with this particular employer. Throughout your learning journey, you are fully supported by your dedicated QA skills coach and your mentor at work. They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support. Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role. On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
