HR Assistant Job Overview
A well-established manufacturing business is seeking an HR Assistant to support its busy HR and Payroll function based in South Wales (commutable from Cardiff, Newport, and surrounding areas). This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for HR administration and employee relations to develop within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the HR Manager, Training Manager, and Payroll team
* Monitor and report on employee absence
* Support the onboarding process for new starters
* Ensure payroll changes and amendments are accurately processed
* Track probationary periods and issue relevant documentation
* Add new starters to the HR system (HRIS)
* Draft offer letters, contracts, and general HR correspondence
* Minute meetings including disciplinaries, grievances, and welfare reviews
* Co-ordinate HR meetings and manage diaries
* Maintain and update employee records
HR Assistant Job Requirements
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Strong IT skills
* High attention to detail
* Collaborative team player
* Experience in a HR Assistant or similar role would be beneficial
* CIPD Level 3 or working towards is desirable but not essential
HR Assistant Salary & Benefits
* 24,500 per annum
* Full-Time, Permanent
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm (flexibility required for occasional early starts/late finishes)
* 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
