The Role
The Clinical team comprises professionals with diverse healthcare backgrounds, including paramedics, radiographers, and nurses. They provide support to customers diagnosed with complex medical conditions such as cancer. The team acts as a single point of contact for customers to discuss their treatment journey, liaising with healthcare professionals and hospitals to support complex medical claims.
Responsibilities and Duties
This role allows you to utilize your skills and experience to support customers and their families during challenging times. The successful candidate will support customers via all communication channels, including email and telephone. Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing customer eligibility for health policies proactively.
* Signposting to additional services when needed.
* Using clinical skills to assess treatment eligibility, levels of care, hospital stays, and treatment options.
* Collaborating with providers to ensure appropriate and eligible care.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines and best practices.
* Supporting front-line business areas with complex clinical cases.
* Keeping informed about products, policies, and initiatives to provide accurate information.
Additional details:
* Salary: GBP 31,000 starting, rising to GBP 34,500 after probation
* Hours: 37.5 per week, between 8 am and 6 pm
