Job Title: Multi-Skilled Operator / Packing (12hr shifts rotating days and nights)
Salary: £31,300 per annum

Reports to: Packaging Supervisor / Shift Manager
Overall Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to assist the packaging supervisor in the day-to-day running of the packing area. To protect the brand, maintain trust, and deliver our legal obligations by ensuring customers' food is sourced and manufactured to the food integrity requirements of each customer.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Deputise for the packaging supervisor to cover breaks and absences, supervising the pack hall operations.
* Sign off on all machines in the pack area.
* Cover the carton room, palletiser/cold store, and bagging machines as needed.
* Complete KPI changes to MCS.
* Maintain cleanliness of own work area.
* Provide thorough handover at shift change to the next team.
* Ensure compliance with legal, health and safety, environmental, and HR policies and regulations.
* Assist colleagues such as carton room operators, palletiser operators, machine operators, and supervisors.
* Participate in BBS (behavioural based safety) training, ensuring safety for oneself and others.
* Carry out sanitation duties, including shutdown procedures.
* Remain at workstation until relieved during shift handover.
* Provide on-the-job guidance, training, and support to colleagues.
* Report and escalate production issues promptly.
* Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English; Lamb Weston chemical training.
Experience: 2-3 years manufacturing experience, supervisory experience, SAP/SCADA/Free weigh experience.
