We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our clients weekend maintenance crew and who will be critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all plant machinery through planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and breakdown support.
This role plays a key part in maintaining operational continuity and safety standards across the site, as well as providing mechanical engineering shift cover when required.
Main duties will be:
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Perform scheduled mechanical maintenance across all plant equipment, including lubrication, belts, chains, pneumatic systems, drives, gearboxes, rollers, and pipework, following structured task sheets.
Fault Diagnosis & Repairs: Identify mechanical faults, replace worn components, and restore equipment functionality efficiently.
To be considered for this role you need to be:
Mechanically qualified at NVQ Level 3 or above, or relevant mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
Proven experience in a mechanically biased maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures, including Lockout.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve faults in a safe, quick and effectivly
Physical ability to carry and lift in line with manual handling regulations.
Willingness to work in varied environments (including confined spaces)
