We have an exciting opportunity for the right safety professional to join our Safety Team, reporting into the Team's Senior Occupational Safety and Health Business Partner. The Safety Team's intent it to enable high performance safety, throughout the team, through the provision of a safe and healthy working environment.

We are looking for a forward-thinking individual, who has an interest in safety systems, occupational health, worker protection and the optimisation of wellbeing. A keenness to learn, grow and develop, implementing this into the delivery of our intent is essential.
Job Description:
You will provide advice and guidance to our Heads of Departments and line management to ensure that all departments understand their responsibilities in implementing the Team's safety management system. You will be required to review safety management system content, generating new standards, updating existing standards and guidance. In addition, you will develop and deliver training programs designed to support the implementation of the safety management system. To ensure the system is delivering performance for the team you will support the delivery of inspection and audit programs and prepare reports on key performance metrics.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Maintenance of the safety management system, including the development of new material.
* On boarding of new starters into the safety management system and delivery of safety section of new starters induction.
* Delivery of key OSH projects.
* Investigation of adverse events, identification, and implementation of containment measures.
* Development and delivery of training programs across key OSH themes.
* Co-ordination of key safety committees.
* Delivery of audits and inspections
* Providing local specialist support and advice on a proactive and reactive basis.
* Coordinating health surveillance
Candidate Profile:
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
* Educated to degree standard
* Experience of working in a fast-moving and Engineering and/or Manufacturing environment
* Advanced computer literacy.
* A self-driven, pro-active individual with a "can do" attitude
* Good inter-personal skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels
* Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines
* Deep curiosity combined with the courage to challenge
* A selflessness that recognises we serve the needs of the team
* Demonstratable accountability, willingness to take and own decisions made
