Our Team And Role
The South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within our Clinical Education Department as a Driving Instructor.
The post will require some evenings & weekend shifts to facilitate training in darkness and outside normal hours to accommodate shifts.
As The Driving Instructor, You Will
1. Work as part of the clinical education training plan, liaising with the Driver Training Manager, Senior Education Managers, Driving Standards Manager, and operational staff across the Trust.
2. Deliver the accredited Driving Education portfolio, including response driving courses, assessments, non-emergency driver training, and responder driving courses.
3. Conduct various driving assessments across the organization while developing as a fully qualified Driving Instructor.
4. Provide leadership to students and staff, support management, and be responsible for driver training on all vehicles within the Trust.
5. Promote and evaluate long-term education and development needs related to driving, referencing Road Traffic Law, the Road Safety Act 2006, Accident Prevention, Audit, and Corporate Governance.
