Pacitti Hamilton Ltd - now trading as Pacitti Accountancy & Business Advisory - are excited to invite suitably skilled Accounts Assistants/Assistant Accountants to join our amazing accountancy team in Paisley.
We are a close-knit team covering all areas of accountancy and business advice and the support we provide to each other, and our clients is what sets us aside from other practices.
We command a exceedingly high standards of client service in all our interactions and work performed for clients.
The successful applicant will have experience of working within an accountancy practice as you will appreciate the fast pace, attention to detail, communication skills required and the demands that the environment brings but also the rewards that it brings.
Your experience will be such that you can prepare financial statements independently (but not unsupported) from whatever source records the client produces (Manual Records, Excel, Sage, FreeAgent, Kashflow, Xero, Quickbooks), communicate the queries and any information requirements with the client and present a completed file for internal review to include Corporation Tax Computation and ideally, drafted Self-Assessment Tax Return (not compulsory). This would be for Ltd, LLP, Partnerships and Sole Traders in the SME sector.
We encourage our team to lend a hand, when needed, across our departments which are Bookkeeping & VAT, PAYROLL, Tax, Compliance and Admin. Being a small firm it's a great opportunity to be familiar with all areas of the practice.

The role is office based and available for both full-time and part-time hours.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar accounting role within an accountancy practice
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage (50 + SBC), Xero, FreeAgent is highly desirable as is the ability to support clients with queries regarding processing.
* Strong understanding of financial services and principles of financial accounting to include an understanding of VAT/Bookkeeping/Tax Legislation/PAYROLL (understanding, not processing) and familiar with AML requirements.
* The ability to educate clients in areas required.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
* Proficient with Microsoft. Our practice software is TaxCalc but full training will be provided.
