Job Description
Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the finance function on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will assist with banking, reconciliations, invoicing, payment allocation, and month-end processes while working closely with internal departments and external customers.Key Responsibilities Downloading and distributing bank statements to relevant teamsIdentifying incoming payments and liaising with internal departments and customers to resolve unidentifiable receipts and request payment breakdownsPosting customer receipts onto internal finance systemsWorking with internal finance teams to resolve payment queries and unallocated paymentsCompleting daily and weekly bank reconciliationsProcessing internal journals, reversals, and transfersManaging the remittance advice email inbox/groupCompleting weekly banking processesRaising invoices for external bodies across two finance systemsSupporting month-end finance responsibilities and reporting tasksMaintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal proceduresAssisting the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative and finance duties as requiredSkills & Experience Required Previous experience in a finance assistant, accounts assistant, or similar finance administration roleGood understanding of bank reconciliations and payment allocationsStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyExcellent organisational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyExperience using finance systems and Microsoft ExcelAbility to investigate and resolve payment queries efficientlyProfessional and collaborative approach when working with internal and external stakeholdersTPBN1_UKTJ
