About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Internal Account Manager to join our growing team. This is a varied and fast-paced role that combines customer service, sales support, account management, and commercial awareness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer enquiries and support tickets, preparing competitive quotations, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and identifying opportunities to increase sales within their account base. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring they receive a professional, efficient, and knowledgeable service at all times.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and delivering excellent customer experiences while contributing directly to business growth.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage and respond to customer enquiries received via telephone, email, live chat, and support ticket systems.
* Prepare accurate and competitive quotations in a timely manner.
* Follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates and secure sales opportunities.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customer accounts.
* Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales and account spend.
* Work closely with the buying, sales, warehouse, and customer care teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Provide product advice and guidance to customers.
* Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently.
* Monitor account activity and identify opportunities for growth and retention.
* Maintain accurate customer records and account notes.
* Assist in achieving departmental sales and service targets.
* Support the wider commercial team with account management and business development initiatives.


Skills & Experience Required

* Previous experience in account management, internal sales, customer service, or a similar commercial role.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Commercially minded with a customer-first approach.
* Confident in preparing quotations and negotiating where appropriate.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
