Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Tracheostomy Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires a commitment to supporting individuals with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. A valid driving licence is preferred, as some roles may involve transporting residents.
Client requirements
* Condition: Acquired traumatic brain injury
* Clinical skills experience: Silver Negus tracheostomy (with regular suctioning), bowel management (alternate days), catheter in situ, conveen in use.
* Mobility: Head movement only, wheelchair user, tracking hoist in place
* Support: Full assistance with all care needs
* Behaviour: Can present with challenging behaviour
* Staffing: 2:1 support, 24/7 cover
* Shift pattern: 10:00–22:00 / 22:00–10:00
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to converse fluently in English.
* A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
* A valid driving licence is beneficial for roles that require transportation of residents. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and who possess the necessary skills to provide exceptional care within our community.
