Job Summary

This is an opportunity to work as an Eating Disorders Practitioner, in a multi-disciplinary community team - Wirral & West Cheshire Community Eating Disorder Service. The successful post-holders will work with people who live with moderate to severe Eating Disorders, delivering high quality talking interventions and co-ordinating individual's care. They can be based at either our site on the Wirral or our site in Chester.

Job Summary

This is an opportunity to work as an Eating Disorders Practitioner, in a multi-disciplinary community team - Wirral & West Cheshire Community Eating Disorder Service. The successful post-holders will work with people who live with moderate to severe Eating Disorders, delivering high quality talking interventions and co-ordinating individual's care. They can be based at either our site on the Wirral or our site in Chester.

The service is currently undergoing an expansion as a part of the wider Community Mental health Transformation, which means that the post will provide opportunities to work in new ways with people, prioritising early intervention, easier access to treatments, expanded group work and working with carers. It is an exciting time to be joining CWP Eating Disorders.

Main duties of the job


* Working with people who live with moderate to severe eating disorders.
* Assessing people and delivering talking interventions, as well as identifying and managing complications arising from Disordered Eating.
* Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure good quality care to people living with an eating disorder.
* Liaising with other providers and stakeholders to ensure safe and effective treatment.
* Delivering group work
* Attending the Clinical Network Meeting and partaking in service development and clinical governance initiatives.

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for a population of over one million people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care, as well as the provision of three GP surgeries in Cheshire.

* Professional qualification (e.g. Nursing, Occupational therapy, Counselling)
* Registration (with NMC,HPC, or Accreditation with BACP)
* Additional post qualification study in a specific psychotherapeutic approach e.g. Post Qualification Framework Module or Post Graduate Certificate or willingness to work towards this qualification
