Role Who we are? Scoffs Training Team is a dynamic learning and development function within the People Team. We research, schedule, coordinate, develop, design and build all learning and upskilling initiatives for Scoffs employees, and we are committed to creating an agile workforce and growing the capability of every employee. We provide training solutions that are onsite in our Academies, online via My Costa Learning and blended methods, supporting employees in all locations with learning opportunities. What we do? We partner with all areas of the business to provide training programmes that address skill gaps and support the organisation’s strategy, facilitating the learning needs of over 1,100 employees in multiple brands and locations. We deliver a broad range of compliance related eLearning and in-person courses, professional development and training partnerships. Key Responsibilities Support Scoffs Training function through daily administration, coordination and reporting on a range of learning & development activities. My Costa Learning Record, maintain and update learning records: Add all new starters to the system & send joiner communications to Ops Teams. Remove leavers from the system in a timely manner. Make profile changes where necessary, for example to the role if colleagues are promoted or to the store if they move sites. Manage all enquiries relating to the system, such as password resets. Collate and manage profiles when people are on maternity/parental leave, long term sickness. You will ensure the account is suspended during their absence and liaise with the People Team to ensure return to work dates are captured. Track, approve and report on store training hours utilisation. Pull data from the system for uploading to PowerBI. Academy Manage internal booking calendar for all academy sites, including the creation of schedules and timetables. Post & manage event bookings. Collate and follow up administration of attendees (further bookings / completion of learning log on Element Suite or Learning Management System as appropriate). Track, approve and report on academy hours utilisation. General Distribute and track course evaluations and feedback from participants and external training providers. Assist the Learning & Development manager with newsletters and other promotional materials to market available training programs, courses and successful events. Be involved in broader HR initiatives to include recruitment and onboarding. Continue to drive a culture of fun and engagement that is established and embedded throughout the business. Key Relationships People Team, Operations. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint etc) with the ability to quickly self-learn new programs and systems. Understanding and use of MCL (My Costa Learning) is essential. A team player who is highly self-motivated, proactive and has excellent attention to detail. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines, independently with minimal supervision. Prior experience or understanding of learning and development would be an advantage. Experience of working in or with a branded franchise business would be extremely desirable. Opportunity to undertake Business Admin Level 3 Apprenticeship. You will be able to use our learning data to present feedback to the Operations teams on their employees’ learning records and drive an increase in compliance rates for mandatory eLearning courses.
