We make health happen
We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to help shape the future of digital health at Bupa. In this role, you’ll lead a cross-functional squad and a small team of designers, driving both how the product works and how we discover what to build.
You’ll be a strategic partner to product and engineering leadership, guiding product discovery, defining experience strategy, and ensuring design excellence—with the support of your Design Principal.
How you’ll help us make health happen
1. Design end-to-end experiences that feel intuitive and deliver real value.
2. Lead discovery and strategy—frame problems, validate ideas, and guide teams to solutions.
3. Embed research into every decision and champion evidence-based design.
4. Facilitate collaboration through workshops and design sprints.
5. Shape product direction with product and engineering partners.
6. Balance user and business needs to create desirable, feasible, and viable solutions.
7. Drive design quality, accessibility, and consistency through systems and standards.
8. Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
9. Coach and grow designers, setting a high bar for craft and thinking.
What you bring:
10. Proven track record in product design and experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
11. A portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, interaction design depth, and measurable impact.
12. Depth in product design plus breadth across research, service, content, systems, or strategy.
13. Ability to zoom out on vision and zoom in on details.
14. Discovery mindset: test early, guide through ambiguity.
15. Interaction-first approach: design how it works, not just how it looks.
16. Proven leadership and a portfolio showing impact and craft.
17. A portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, interaction design depth, and measurable impact.
18. Skilled in Figma, design systems, and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA).
19. Experience in research and usability testing; bonus if you know AI tools like Figma Make.
20. Strong grasp of discovery, experimentation, and agile ways of working.
