Overview
RBA Production Supervisor role at AWE. Location: Coulport, near Helensburgh (Scotland - 20 minutes north of Helensburgh). Package: Starting from £40,000 (Dependent on experience and suitability for the role). Working pattern: Monday – Thursday (core hours) with potential for overtime and weekend work.
Please note: it is preferable that candidates have a recognised craft apprenticeship (Electrical or Mechanical) but we will also accept applications from candidates with an HND or a degree in an engineering discipline plus relevant demonstrable experience.

The Production Supervisor oversees daily production floor operations to ensure manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Responsibilities include managing a team, maintaining quality standards, and achieving production targets within deadlines.
Responsibilities
* Production Management: Plan, organise, and oversee production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines. Monitor production processes and adjust schedules to optimise efficiency.
* Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
* Team Supervision: Assign tasks based on skills and workload; conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and updates.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet quality standards; work with the Quality Assurance team to implement corrective actions.
* Health and Safety: Enforce health and safety regulations on the production floor; conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
* Resource Management: Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely resources; minimise waste and optimise use of materials and equipment.
* Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data (output, downtime, efficiency); document and report incidents or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Strong leadership and team management skills; excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Experience with production processes and equipment; knowledge of quality control standards and health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using production management software and tools.

* Experience in some of the following areas: good understanding of production processes and equipment; knowledge of quality control standards and health and safety regulations; ability to work under pressure; strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with production management software.

Note: due to the role, you will be required to work shifts (covering 24/7 and overtime including weekends). Flexibility on working hours is essential.
