<div><p>RELIEF Retail Security Officer – Yeovil and surrounding areas – £14.67 per hour with paid breaks.</p><h3>Job Overview</h3><p>You are required to provide safety and security to our customers property, people, and/or assets. Deliver exceptional customer service to staff and visitors and maintain the reputation of both Mitie and our client. As a relief role, you must be flexible to work any day or shift at short notice.</p><h3>Main Duties</h3><ul><li>Use ASCONE to maintain the security of the site.</li><li>Conduct regular patrols of the site.</li><li>Deliver customer service to both staff and visitors.</li><li>Support staff with any reasonable request.</li><li>Ensure relevant reports are completed accurately.</li><li>Record incidents accurately in the system on site.</li><li>Call emergency services and Control Room for all serious incidents.</li></ul><h3>Security and Health & Safety</h3><ul><li>Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.</li><li>Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.</li><li>Use both proactive and reactive approaches to diffuse situations and avoid escalation.</li><li>Maintain professional conduct when faced with difficult situations and challenging customers.</li></ul><h3>Training & Development</h3><p>Complete all required competency training and undertake additional training as directed by the Operations Manager. Ensure your licence is renewed 16 weeks before expiry.</p><h3>Qualifications and Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum one year of security experience.</li><li>Retail experience essential.</li><li>Valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence.</li><li>Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for travel (~30 miles radius each way).</li><li>Excellent customer service and communication skills.</li><li>Self‑starter, able to act without direction.</li><li>Report writing skills essential.</li><li>Ability to work well under pressure.</li></ul><h3>Shift Details</h3><p>Various shift times between Monday – Saturday 08:00‑22:00, Sunday 10:00‑17:00. Must be flexible to work any day or time.
