#teamOFG! About the Role As an Engage Instructor, you will deliver personalised, alternative education programmes for pupils aged 8–18 with EHCPs for SEMH, ASD or related needs. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will support pupils who require a flexible and tailored approach to learning, helping them re-engage with education, build confidence and make meaningful academic and personal progress. This is a dynamic and rewarding role requiring resilience, professionalism and the ability to build strong relationships with young people who may present with complex needs. Plan and deliver individualised English and Maths sessions (up to Level 2) within the Engage programme, adapting learning to meet assessed needs. Support pupils accessing alternative or off-site provision, including college placements, and provide coaching to promote engagement and progress. Develop and maintain Individual Education Plans, risk assessments, timetables and pupil records, ensuring accurate reporting and attendance tracking. Work collaboratively with families, carers, external agencies and school colleagues to coordinate and review bespoke Engage programmes. Promote pupils’ personal development, integration and positive participation within the wider school community. Adhere strictly to safeguarding, child protection and home visit procedures, ensuring the welfare of pupils at all times. Contribute to meetings, departmental development and whole-school priorities, maintaining professionalism in complex or high-pressure situations.
