Shift Engineer Food Manufacturing Norwich, England | On-site | Full-time | Rotating Shifts We are looking for a hands-on Shift Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing operation. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping production machinery running smoothly, performing maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime. Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery. Maintain accurate maintenance records for compliance and performance tracking. Work closely with production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance. Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe workplace. What Were Looking For Relevant engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering. Practical experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts (7/14, days and nights). Proactive problem-solver with good communication and teamwork skills. Desirable: PLC experience, exposure to continuous improvement programs, multiskilled in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Whats on Offer Competitive salary (based on experience).
